Από αυτό το μήνα εισάγουμε και πάλι το QUOTE OF THE WEEK (το ρητό της εβδομάδας) στις τάξεις των Αγγλικών. Κάθε βδομάδα αναγράφεται ένα ρητό στα Αγγλικά στον πίνακα και στο Facebook μας, το οποίο οι μαθητές συζητούν στην τάξη. Το ρητό παραμένει στον πίνακα για μια βδομάδα, έτσι που οι μαθητές να το ξαναδούν και να θυμηθούν το νόημα και το λεξιλόγιο του.
Με αυτό το απλό εργαλείο μάθησης, τα παιδιά αναπτύσσουν το λεξιλόγιο τους διαμορφώνοντας ιδέες για θέματα της ζωής. Το μεγαλύτερο κέρδος είναι ότι τα παιδιά συμμετέχουν ενεργά στη διαδικασία χωρίς να τη θεωρούν σαν μέρος του μαθήματος.

Patience is bitter, but it bears sweet fruit.Every week students find a new quote written on the board and on our Facebook page. Its meaning and metaphoric message are discussed in the class. The quote remains on the board for a week in order for students to view and reflect on it (along with the newly acquired vocabulary).
With this simple learning tool, students enhance their vocabulary while developing their ideas on daily matters and sayings. The best part is that students do not regard this activity as part of the lesson and they learn without realising it!
